My name is Darren Brookes and I offer dog behavior modification services in the Midlands area. I have over 20 years experience and expertise as a professional dog trainer. I have spent my working life dedicated to the training of dogs and studying dog psychology and behavior. I have an in-depth knowledge of canine behavior and instincts, and a natural affinity with our beloved pets.
Having a canine companion is not only about getting out there and teaching your dog commands. adopting a pack mentality approach which includes understanding how to communicate with your dog correctly, in a way he/she understands, and also understand how your dog instinctively lives, interacts and views the world in which he/she lives. Only then can you have a truly rewarding relationship with your canine companion. I therefore not only focus on training your dog, but also pass on to you the important skills and knowledge required for you to better understand your dog, and how to communicate with him/her in a way that creates a relationship based on trust and respect.
Learn how to become a trusting friend and leader to your dog.
My methods are will work if you prepared to work too.
My methods work because my training is based on your dogs natural instincts. I do not believe a one fix dog training or ideal methods. I use whatever works best and humanely for the particular dog. I will not restrict myself to one training method.
As long as you follow my training as instructed, my training will work for any dog, baring severe psychological, medical or genetic problems.
By using correct body language, touch and voice tone, you can easily motivate your dog to work for you, believe it or not your dog wants to please you all of the time and the reward is affection and guidance
Obedience training is about motivating your dog to work and be obedient for you. Proper dog obedience training is about working with a dogs temperament, natural instincts and drives, to develop a relationship based on respect, trust, and the dogs natural instinct to be a pack member.
It is important to remember each breed is different having been bred initially for such tasks as hunting, retrieving, herding, rescuing and many other tasks. Not only is each breed different so is each individual dog, a dogs initial 6 months on this planet can alter a dogs behavior and temperament
It is also about consistent rules, and setting boundaries for unacceptable behavior. It's about always rewarding good behavior, and at times correcting unwanted behavior. Correct training is about using the right voice inflection, timing and touch, and above all consistency. If your dog respects and trusts you, he/she will want to please you.
